Social Media

Though there is no law explicitly forbidding mental health professionals from connecting with their clients on social media, staff at I-Thrive Therapy and Wellness take pride in upholding ethical boundaries in both our personal and digital presences.

In a world that has rapidly gone digital we understand that as a patient/client you may come across the page of one our professional staff. If you do, we will not accept a friend request nor communicate/answer questions about your services/treatment via any social media platforms and ask that you seek your therapist or administrative staff through appropriate and professional avenues.

Our goal is to avoid interactions that will grey the professional and confidential relationship and impact the effectiveness of our clinical functions. Additionally, this will diminish intrusions on privacy.
